This short album is a collection of tracks which serve as reading accompaniments to two short stories by Clark Ashton Smith: “A Night in Malnéant” and “Ubbo-Sathla”, both first published in 1933.
Originally, the tracks were projected to be released as a split album, but that never materialized, so here they are for your enjoyment.
On this album, Autaar employs (as is tradition) synth sweeps, droning bass, and a lot of tape recorders. These sounds convey the oozing, primeval, elder god Ubbo-Sathla, and the dark, foggy gothic atmosphere of the trapping city of Malnéant.
